this time round, tollywood’s heroine no.1 rituparna sengupta was all set to rock the stage. just before her dance performance at madhushudan mancha, along with her dance troupe bhavana aaj o kaal, the actress-danseuse appeared to be both happy and a bit tense. “this is a very special programme and it is all the more special to me since i would giving a part of my advances from the show to the thalassemia foundation with which i have been associated for quite some time,� said ritu. and the actress, who makes acting on the silver screen appear an easy job, was taking all the care she could in choosing her jewellery for her solo dance number as she got ready for the final bell. “after all, this is my first proper performance with my troupe,� she says. so what’s the show all about? “the show is called katha o surey nrityanganey and along with me there are other artistes who will be also performing.� well-known singer swagatalakshmi dasgupta was doing the opening song and rituparna also had a special item lined up later with the actor kaushik sen. “kaushik and i will be reading a particular piece in a dialogue form and it will appear more like a conversation between a couple,� she said. and she is practicing her steps pretty seriously it seems. “i would be soon flying off to the states to do some solo dance programmes,� she said.
